Logo Variations

The primary, full-color PBS KIDS logo should be used most of the time. Black and white variations of the logo are to be used where color is not available.

The logo .zip file contains files that have been optimized for print (CMYK and PMS) and online (RGB and hex values). See our logo guide for more information.

Logo Do's & Don'ts

  • Do not place color logo on PBS Blue.
  • Do not separate shield or text.
  • Do not change colors of shield or text.
  • Do not rotate the logo.
  • Do not overlap or place elements in front of logo.
  • It is OK for the logo to incidentally overlap design elements.
  • Do not add decorative effects such as emboss or drop shadow to the logo.
  • Do not add stroke to shield.
  • Do not allow the background color to show through the text.
  • Do not make the logo grayscale. Use “Black” or “White” version.
  • Do not stretch logo.
  • Do not connect the line design element to the logo.

Can I use the PBS KIDS logo or PBS KIDS Headline font wherever I want or do I need permission?
Although we love that you want to use our brand, the PBS KIDS logo and typography are trademarked and require permission for use. Please reach out to pbskidsandeducation@pbs.org to request permission.
I am using PBS KIDS materials and assets that have old logos and branding. Do I need to update everything?
Our brand package has expanded been refreshed to include a new logo. Existing materials and assets can be used but the logo should be updated according to the standards outlined above. Be sure to take advantage of our latest assets with new elements. Contact pbskidsandeducation@pbs.org if you need guidance.
Can I alter the color or presentation of the logo in the style of the asset I'm creating?
No, our logo must be used according to the guidelines outlined above and is not open for creative interpretation.
Can I integrate PBS KIDS series characters into my design?
Use of series characters requires permission from show producers. Please reach out to pbskidsandeducation@pbs.org to request permission.
Where do I get information on brand guidelines for my local member station?
Please contact your local member station for their independent brand guidelines.
